In the summer of 2016, our two summer students threw themselves into bringing the hope and support of Sanctuary Outreach outreach to campus through the launch of a new club in the fall - the Sanctuary Outreach Student Chapter (SOS Chapter).
Throughout their first year as a club, the SOS Chapter has focused on regular outreach through tables set up in the university centre on campus at the University of Guelph. At these tables, they set up a beautiful display board explaining what they do and highlighting other local pregnancy resources.
In addition to this, they also distributed promotional materials for Sanctuary Outreach and the SOS Chapter, including a variety of #stopthestigma magnets (see below for an example). This year they hope to expand their reach further, particularly through the #stopthestigma campaign.
